Now lets get a nice theme, to make it even cooler and less boring.
And I'm not talking about themes like those windows already has.
I'm talking about something more like this:
Installing it and getting it too look exactly like that is a bit complicated and requires more time, than changing the start orb, or logon screen.
Download Adagio theme
After downloading the rar archive, extract the contents of the rar archive in a new folder on the desktop.
The archive Adagio.rar contains" :
- Adagio.theme file
- Adagio folder (adagio.msstyles etc)
- System files folder
- Tools folder ( Patch files for your system, TakeControl.exe)
- Calmness.jpg (wallpaper)
The first thing you'll need to do, is copy the contents of the Adagio folder in C:/windows/resources/themes/
After that, you'll copy the "Explorer" that's in the "System files" folder, (Choose the files corresponding to your system (x64 or x32)) to the Windows folder.
Before you do that, you'll need to rename the existing "Explorer" on the "C:/Windows" folder to "Explorer.old".
And then you're gonna need to copy "explorerframe.dll" from the "System files" to "C:/Windows/System32"
Before you do that, you're gonna need to do the same thing, rename the existing "explorerframe.dll" to "explorerframe.dll.old"
After doing all of that, restart your computer, right click on your desktop, click on personalize and choose "Adagio Bottom":
Aaaaaaand done:
It should look something like this now.
Cool, no?
You can find hundreds of other themes on deviantart:
Windows 7 Styles
The installation process is almost the same in all of them.
In some cases you'll need to patch the system files in order to install the theme.
In that case, the theme patcher will be in the theme folder along the instructions, if not, you can download UxTheme Patcher.
